At LAMOii, we’re passionate about bringing the joy of authentic Filipino steamed rice to every home and aspiring entrepreneur. Our story began with a simple dream: to make delicious, convenient, and accessible food that brings people together.

We’re not just about creating amazing ready-to-cook meals. We’re also committed to empowering aspiring entrepreneurs. Our franchise packages provide everything you need to start your own successful steamed rice business, from equipment and training to marketing and permit assistance. More Than Just Ready Mixes

Our Story

We’re a family-owned business, founded by a retired seafarer, Thom Jer Bacalso, and his wife, Cyril. After years of experience in the food industry, they realized there was a need for a simpler way to enjoy classic Filipino dishes. That’s how our innovative 11-in-1 Steamed Rice Ready Mix was born!

Thom Jer Bacalso, owner of LAMOii Food and Beverage Station, is a retired seafarer who ventured into the food business with his wife, Cyril Bacalso, to pursue his dreams as an entrepreneur and be with his family for good.

Though the company started selling in food stalls in April 2022, dreaming big and scaling up led to the idea of making ready-mix pouches to help Filipino households enjoy their favorite food without the hassle of gathering the ingredients in the market. With the right recipe mixture in the palm of their hands, they can enjoy their food in the comfort of their homes. 

Being a Sign Off Business Academy student gives him a firm foundation with the right mentorship and coaching to pursue these dreams while building a more assertive character (EQ) and honing his entrepreneurial skills (IQ). 

Both Thom and Cyril were working students in college, so our staff consists mostly of working students who are very dedicated to their assigned tasks and have the right mindset and determination to achieve the LAMOii Dreams and Mission.

Our Mission

At LAMOii, our mission is threefold:

  1. Delightful Dishes: To provide Filipino households with easy-to-prepare, delicious, and affordable meal solutions.
  2. Empowering Entrepreneurs: To equip aspiring business owners with the tools and knowledge to thrive in the food industry.
  3. Nourishing Communities: To give back to our community through the LAMOii feeding program, which aims to feed 1000 children or more every year.
